Chinese Medicine.

I've a bit of a skin spot problem (I feel) so I've been trying a new Chinese medicine. See example bag below. I just took this photo.

I get these sebum filled spots on my neck (less so now than before), face, (less so now than before), back of my torso (lots of them still) annd front of my torso (still there, but I live in hope). A few months ago, I went to a Chinese doctor and he suggested I take a 2 week course of this chinese liquid medicine (picture above). I am to take 2 bags a day. That is, drink the contents. So, 2 days ago, my friend went to the pharmacy where this Chinese doctor works and ordered 2 weeks supply from him. Costly. 460 RMB or so. 400 RMB for the medcine itself and 60 RMB (service charge). I'm not going into that. Anyway.

The stuff is truly revolting. I started this course last night. I just took a sip and euwww!!. I couldn't finish the contents. My friend and flatmate advised me to drink it all down in one go. I had to find out the hard way why that was the case. This afternoon, I had learnt my lesson however and just gulped the stuff down successfully. And again just now. Anyway, the Chinese doctor had told me that there were germs/bacteria or whatever in my intestines which were causing the spots and this medcine would help. Anyway, I'm willing to give it a shot. I'm not hopeful though.

Bear in mind, I'm also still using the skin cream(s) and ointment and I guess, inevitably, there has been some improvement. But, to my exasperation, new spots are still cropping up. I have to be constantly vigilant. [sighs]. Anyway, let's see if this stuff has any results. I'll let you know on this blog in two weeks time. We'll put Chinese medcine to the test. Is the doctor right? Bacteria in my stomach? Hmm... We'll see.
